What’s on for children and young people at Great Malvern Priory?
Great Malvern Priory is an all-age church community where the presence of children and young people is cherished.
There is a wide range of events and activities specifically aimed at different age-groups, so that children and youth can have fun and learn about the Christian faith with others of their own age; and there are also times, such as the monthly Altogether Worship, when everyone, from 0 - 100, can benefit from sharing in worship and fellowship together.
Young people are also encouraged to become involved in the life of the church in all sorts of ways appropriate to their own age, interests and gifts; for example, musically (though choir, hand-bell ringing and orchestra), dramatically (through Sketch Club), and by learning to operate the sound system for services or assisting in the administration of the chalice at Holy Communion, or as a sidesperson.
The information on the Children’s and Youth pages of our website will hopefully give you an overview of the different Sunday and weekday groups.
If you want to know more, including enquiries about preparation for Baptism and Confirmation, do contact the Priory’s Associate Minister for Children, Youth and Families, the Revd Dr Mary Barr - Tel. 01684 563707 or via the Priory Parish Office (01684 561020).
