Intercessions - 06/09

Dear Lord Jesus, when two or three are gatheredtogether in your name, you are there in the midst of them. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to come together to worship you through being physically present in church or worshiping together through on-line services. We thank all those who continue to make meaningful worship possible with their time and skills keeping the Priory family connected to each other, to the wider community and to you.

We pray for all those around the world who are suffering physically, emotionally and spiritually. We pray that they know that you hold them in your hands, that they feel your protective presence and they find peace in your unconditional love for them. Help us to live our lives modelled on your love for all those in need through our daily actions and words.

Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer

Please bless our Archbishops and Bishops; let their position within government influence policy and set the tone for respectful cross party collaboration for the good of this country and its relationships with countries around the world. Please bless the families of our Archbishops and Bishops as they support their ministry.

Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer

We pray for our schools as they return back to a new normality this week. We ask that you grant wisdom, hope and courage to all those beginning the new school year in these challenging and uncertain times. Please help all pupils and staff to delight in new and renewed friendships and help them settle quickly into their school environments.

Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer

We ask you to bless Rod and Rita as they rest and rejuvenate on their holiday. We thank you for their endless commitment to this parish and the wider community.

We also pray for Jonny and Katie as they look forward to new beginnings within their ministry and family life.

We pray that you bring comfort for all those who are unwell at this time, and we pray for strength and rest for all those who care for them.

We pray for those who have recently been bereaved. Give them comfort, peace and hope as they navigate a way through their grief.

Rejoicing in the fellowship of all your saints, we commend ourselves and the whole creation to your unfailing love.

Merciful Father accept these prayers for the sake of Your son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.
