Being Church

The Third Sunday in Lent became ‘Action Sunday’ as Altogether Worship, encouraged by Rod, acted out ‘Being a Church’.

With congregation participation, hands were raised ‘up’ in shared worship. Fellowship, drew people ‘in’, together, as the body of the Church, turning to reach ‘out’ to welcome others into the Church.

And welcome the Priory did, as two youngsters took their first steps in faith at Baptism, supported by their Godparents and the congregation.

Fellowship was for real over coffee after the service and then, for many, including the Messy Church team, it continued on to the Parish Lunch where there was much good humour as orders were delivered.

‘Ham, egg and chips anybody? Anybody? Who’s ordered ham, egg and chips?’ A brief break in conversations as each dish appeared, and then fellowship resumed.

If you’d like to join us for the next Parish Lunch after the 10.30am service, keep an eye out on the Calendar - or you’d be very welcome at any service. Come on in and join the Church.
