Priory at the heart of Great Malvern (pre) Christmas Festival

It’s not yet even Advent, but the Priory was delighted to welcome one and all as Great Malvern celebrated the annual Christmas Light Switch-on for the first time in three years, thanks to Covid (2020) and Weather (2021).

Children enjoyed the wide range of activities laid on by the ever-imaginative team (it’s amazing how many crafts can be made from a paper plate!)

Everyone appreciate the musical entertainment by talented local musicians of all ages including our very own Priory Praise Group.

The Priory Urn gurgled and rumbled, steaming merrily as cup after cup of good cheer (in the form of tea and coffee), with a slice of cake, was served by a rota of volunteers.

Once the Town lights were switched on the Priory filled with folk again, to sing Christmas Carols with the Priory Choir, before heading home, out into the damp Malvern night.

To everyone who made today such a success ‘thank you’.

Advent starts tomorrow. In addition to our usual Sunday services there’s the Advent Carol Service. Hope to see you there!
