Mens’ curry night

The Priory Mens’ Correspondent reports…

Priory men and friends gathered at the bar of the Great Malvern Hotel on Thursday night, putting names to familiar faces, finding out what we do and interests while having a pre-dinner drink.

At 8pm we moved over to the Flute Indian restaurant, some carrying cartons of their preferred beer, others brought a bottle of their favourite accompaniment. We sat at long tables where we could chat with those to each side and across the table making conversations of up to six or even more possible.

The essential photograph was taken by James the organiser of the event before the food arrived.  Some had delicious starters, we all had a great main course and a sizzle was heard from the mixed grills in very hot dishes.  The conversation continued as we compared dishes, chatted and ate.

A lovely evening was wound up with each settling their own bill plus tip, a lot farer than just dividing the bill by the number of people present. We’d enjoyed chatting with some we have never talked to before. Some walked home, whilst others drove depending on distance and drinks consumed.

Looking forward to the next time the men gather for a curry
