‘tis the season…

..to print orders of service.

As you sit in the glorious building that is Great Malvern Priory this Christmas season, surrounded by the joyful sounds of the Choir and organ, you may not realise the complexity of the amazing document you have in your hands - the service sheet.

Carefully designed to have sensible page turns and everything the congregation needs to know, designing a service sheet is a special skill. But that’s just the start.

Over the Christmas season the Priory Parish Administrator prints thousands of orders of service for carol services, Christingles, Complines, Sunday services, plus the leaflets for the Festival of Nativities, the Messy Church Gingerbread Nativity and all the associated posters, too.

Multi-tasking is second nature to her, as she re-fills and unjams the parish printer, whilst simultaneously answering the phone, surrounded by ever-growing stacks of printing.

Christmas started in September in the Parish Office when the Christingle tickets were printed and carefully guillotined. Soon they’ll be flying out of the door - as they’re needed for both Christingle Services, on the 23rd and 24th December. Tickets are available, free, from 1st December from the Parish Office (Thursdays and Fridays 9am-1pm), the Friends’ Shop in the Priory and the Malvern Tourist Information Centre.

All are welcome to the huge range of services at the Priory this Advent and Christmas season, from the quiet reflectiveness of Wednesday night Compline to the excitement of Christingles and the joy of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day worship. Take a look at Priory Christmas here…and do come along.
