Busy times at the Priory Friends’ Shop

Fellowship and a job well done

On Sunday, the Priory congregation thanked Mary for five wonderful years as the volunteer manager of the Friends’ Shop. With a dedicated team of volunteers thousands of pounds have been raised towards the upkeep of both the glorious Priory building and the music.

We welcomed Leigh as the new Shop Manager…and it was in at the deep end for her, with the annual Shop Stock Take the very next day!

Concentration levels were high; volunteers could be heard muttering ‘twelve, thirteen, fourteen’ under their breath as stacks of cards, notelets, … well, in fact, everything in the Shop, was counted.

Enthusiasts wielded vacuum cleaners and dusters and every surface was given a mid winter Spring Clean ready to welcome customers in 2023.
