600 children 937 years of history it must be…

Few saw the first, stumbling, enthusiastic, hilarious steps of the Lifepath 2023 thespians on Saturday morning as the Lifepath play began to take shape…although Ken and Chris, the welcomers, were most amused as ‘Agadoo’ echoed round the Priory walls.

But Lifepath, which introduces local children to the monastic history of the Priory for one exciting action-packed week in June, never sleeps.

As soon as the Lifepath 2022 ended last June, the Steering Group started planning Lifepath 2023. And once Christmas is over it’s time to call for the hundreds of volunteers that make this extraordinary event possible.

Amongst the volunteer setter-uppers, taker downers, techies, pilgrim guides, activity leaders, oh-so-important refreshment co-ordinators, and many, many others, are the Lifepath ‘thespians’.

Tasked with bringing a Bible story to life, this year Rod has dramatised ‘The Prodigal Son’. All the usual fun can be expected as the message of God’s love is shared to the visiting children.

Lifepath 2023 is now fully booked by schools, but more volunteers are always welcome. Just click here to join the happy Lifepath crew. The more the merrier!
