A new term starts

Freshly baked home-made biscuits, tea, coffee and good cheer marked the start of a new year for the Priory Prayer Group.

Gathered in the upper room of the Lyttleton Rooms, as empty mugs were set down and the delicous cookies became but a memory, the group turned their thoughts to this term’s theme
’Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full on His wonderful face;
And the things of earth
Will go strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace’

Voices were lifted in song, accompanied by the piano. A thought provoking reflection followed - how do we remain Jesus-focussed? Through scripture and the support of others - even in the difficult transition times, God gives us a lifeline to hold on to.

Prayer followed. For ourselves, for God’s world, for the Priory. The needs were gathered together and projected onto a screen. United in prayer, some prayed aloud, others silently.

A final song, a blessing and a reminder that Fellowship, Worship and Prayer will be praying for the Church Community on 12th October.

All are very welcome - do come along at 7.20pm
