A wing and a prayer

Rita in confident form when interviewed by the ‘PBC’ a few weeks back

Additional Update: The weather forecasters got it right - Malvernians awoke today to fog/low cloud (‘What Hills?!’) followed by very heavy showers.

Update: Due to the weather forecast, Rita’s Wing Walk has been postponed. Safety is paramount.
Watch here and in the weekly
Vicar’s letter for news of the rescheduled date.
Donations are still very welcome to make the Priory nave accessible to all.

WW-Day draws ever closer.

Yes, it’s a matter of hours until ‘intrepid’ vicar’s wife, Rita Corke takes to the skies strapped to the wing of a biplane in her wing-walking debut.

Feeling slightly less intrepid and marginally more, lets say ‘concerned’ as time ticks by, what’s keeping Rita focussed is her determination to raise funds to lower the Priory nave floor, so that it’s accessible to all.

And what wonderful support she’s had on her Just Giving page and in the buckets at church.

So, if you’ve already donated, a heartfelt ‘thank you’ from both Rita and Rod, too, and if you haven’t and have been wondering if you should, then now’s the time! It’s really simple, to click on the link - https://www.justgiving.com/page/james-wall-1678225621975

or drop a cheque in to Church House (mark the envelope ‘Wing Walk) in the Priory grounds if you live locally.

And keep an eye out on this blog for potentially* a live update on the day as the GMP website goes into Outside Blogpost mode.

*subject to connectivity, competence and the good old British weather.
