Baptism, bagged

It was wonderful to welcome a young person into the church at Morning Worship today.

And Rod had put his thinking hat on and come up with an amazing new idea - the Baptism Bag, especially for them.

As he explained to the congregation, everything in the bag has a meaning…
The water of baptism, which symbolically washes away (soap) sins, to shine as a light in the world (candle, both real and battery-powered).
We’re a church that welcomes Allsorts, and we tell of God’s love (sticky notes) with our actions and through our words (jelly lips and teeth). The handy Malvern Priory ruler reminds us how our faith keeps us on the straight and narrow
There were a couple of great books too, ‘The Curious History of God’ and Mark’s Gospel.

Presented in a pretty bag, the newest member of the Church of England is well prepared for their journey of faith.

Welcome!
