Clearing up and moving on

When was the last time you vacuumed your subfloor?

The Priory subfloor may well be the cleanest in Malvern at the moment, as the workers levelling the nave floor prepare the subfloor for the new sleeper walls (supporting walls) which will support the new joists which will hold up the new floor.

Despite everyone’s best efforts, there’s quite a lot of dust in the Priory at the moment. ‘I’ve just dusted the choir stalls’ said an enthusiastic volunteer to the Custos showing her dramatically filthy dusters. ‘So have I’ He smiled. The sheeting covering the organ and piano is doing a jolly good job!

But the end of the dust is hopefully in sight, as in the afternoon, the workers started to bring the blocks into the Priory, ready to build the sleeper walls. The walls should be going up next week.

So there’s plenty to see going on through the windows in the protective hoardings and its wonderful to be welcoming visitors once more. Do visit - just please excuse our dust at the moment!
