Scratch Nativity brings joy to all

Just one candle now remains unlit on the Advent wreath, as, on the Fourth Sunday of Advent, joy filled the Priory with the telling of the Nativity story once more.
Narrators Gilly and Adam, assisted by Rod, guided the children and the congregation; everyone was involved.
The Praise Group led the singing, including ‘Away in a Manger’, Little Donkey’ and the setting of the beautiful words of ‘Love came down at Christmas’ by Christina Rosetti

Love came down at Christmas,
Love all lovely, Love Divine,
Love was born at Christmas,
Star and Angels gave the sign.

Worship we the Godhead,
Love Incarnate, Love Divine,
Worship we our Jesus,
But wherewith for sacred sign?

Love shall be our token,
Love be yours and love be mine,
Love to God and all men,
Love for plea and gift and sign.

Thank you to everyone who brought the story of our Saviour’s birth to life for us all, in Malvern, in 2022.
