Convivial Breakfast

What better way to spend a chilly March morning than with friends, old, and brand new, and a thought-provoking speaker?

And that’s before the amazing breakfast selection’s included!

Over 50 women of all ages gathered in the Lyttelton Rooms Upper Hall, not quite knowing what the first Priory Women’s Breakfast would hold. The answer was simple - great company, great speaker and beautifully conceived tables (‘tablescaped’ is the correct term), with cheery tulips at the centre of each one.

Armed with an oh-so-useful name sticker, conversation was not hampered as tea, coffee, fruit, warm pastries, cereal, juice, toast and a huge range of preserves were enjoyed by all.

Megan Cobbett, the speaker, from Worcester, invited breakfasters to consider the challenging times of transition life, drawing laughter and smiles of recognition as she reminded all of ‘firsts’ and ‘lasts’ in their lives. Drawing from Romans 8 28 and James 1 17 she invited everyone to remember that ‘there is joy in the journey as we follow Christ’.

Discussion on the tables followed, experiences shared. It was a sign of success that no-one was ready to leave, but eventually, as they did, and the tables were cleared, there was a queue to sign the ‘keep in touch’ list.

So…watch out for the next Women’s Breakfast on the calendar or the Women’s Breakfast page of this site.
