Plenty to see and do on a wet day

The Summer Bank Holiday’s coming up and just in case the weather’s a little inclement, there’s plenty to keep younger visitors busy and dry whilst bringing the Priory’s amazing history to life.

New this summer are four exciting quizzes, which encourage youngsters to engage with the masons’ marks, the misericords (keep an eye out for the very unusual mermaid and merman), the windows and the mediaeval tiles. The quizzes are free and available just inside the North Door.

At the east end, peep through the keyhole in the East Door, to see the [probable] gas lamp that featured in C.S. Lewis’s Narnia series.

Youngsters are always welcome to enjoy the toys, books and games in the children’s area and there’s colouring-in, too.

Whatever the weather, all (including their well-behaved dogs) are welcome to visit the Priory and experience the wonderful, living, building upon which Great Malvern was founded.

We look forward to welcoming you soon.
